The Sheffield Omnibus Enthusiasts Society (SOES) are an official bus enthusiasts group based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, that were founded 1964. They are currently the largest such group in the Sheffield area. After originally starting out solely in Sheffield, they have since expanded to provide news, photos, fleet lists and other information for bus operators across the whole of Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, the Peak District and Lincolnshire.

SOES' main stated aim is to keep their members "well informed of developments in the bus industry at local and national levels", according to their official website. SOES regularly organise events and tours in Sheffield and nationally and they run a members' magazine, called M&T News.

SOES AreaEdit

The Sheffield Omnibus Enthusiasts Society have become synonymous for their high-standard fleet lists, and through this, what has unofficially become known as the "SOES Area" has formed. The "SOES Area" covers all areas where SOES provide news coverage and, in particular, fleet lists.
